Welcome to Street Beat NYC ("we," "us," "our," or "Street Beat NYC"). By accessing or using our website at streetbeatnyc.com (the "Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the Site.
Street Beat NYC is an independent platform operated by Bevan Huang, dedicated to curating and sharing information about authentic street events, cultural festivals, and community celebrations across New York City's five boroughs.
Use of the Site
You may use Street Beat NYC to browse and discover event listings, access event information for personal, non-commercial purposes, share event listings through social media or other channels with proper attribution, and submit event suggestions for consideration.
You may not:
- Use the Site for any illegal or unauthorized purpose
- Reproduce, duplicate, copy, sell, or exploit any portion of the Site for commercial purposes without express written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the Site or any systems or networks connected to the Site
- Use automated systems (including robots, spiders, or scrapers) to access the Site without prior written permission
- Submit false, misleading, or spam content through event suggestion forms
- Interfere with or disrupt the Site or servers/networks connected to the Site
Event Information
Information Accuracy
Street Beat NYC makes reasonable efforts to provide accurate, current information about events. However:
- Event details (dates, times, locations, costs) may change without notice
- We rely on information from event organizers, community sources, and personal verification
- We cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of all event information
- Events may be cancelled, postponed, or modified by their organizers
No Endorsement
Listing an event on Street Beat NYC does not constitute:
- An endorsement of the event, its organizers, or any vendors/participants
- A guarantee of event quality, safety, or suitability for any particular purpose
- A recommendation to attend or participate
- Any business relationship with event organizers unless explicitly stated
User Responsibility
Users are responsible for:
- Verifying event details directly with event organizers before attending
- Confirming dates, times, locations, costs, and any requirements (tickets, registration, age restrictions)
- Making their own decisions about event attendance and participation
- Their personal safety and the safety of their companions at events
Third-Party Links and Content

We are not responsible for the content, accuracy, or practices of third-party websites, any transactions made through third-party sites, privacy practices of external websites, or products or services offered by third parties. Intellectual Property
All content on Street Beat NYC, including text, graphics, logos, images, photographs, event descriptions, and compilation of event listings, is the property of Street Beat NYC or Bevan Huang and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the Site for personal, non-commercial purposes. This license does not include commercial use or reproduction of Site content, collection or use of event listings for competing services, modification or derivative works of Site content, or removal of copyright or proprietary notices. If you submit content to Street Beat NYC including event suggestions, photos, or feedback you retain ownership of your submitted content, as permitted by applicable law. You warrant that the content you submit is under your ownership or that you have permission to use such content. You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display the submitted content in connection with operating the Site. You represent that you have the right to submit the content and grant these rights. You understand that we may choose not to publish submitted content at our sole discretion.
Disclaimer of Warranties
STREET BEAT NYC IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT, WARRANTIES REGARDING ACCURACY, RELIABILITY, OR COMPLETENESS OF EVENT INFORMATION, WARRANTIES THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR WARRANTIES ABOUT EVENTS LISTED ON THE SITE. We do not warrant that events will occur as scheduled or described, event organizers are reliable or reputable, attending events will be safe or suitable for your purposes, or the Site will meet your specific needs or expectations.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, Street Beat NYC, Bevan Huang, and any affiliated parties shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, revenue, data, or business opportunities, personal injury, property damage, or other harm resulting from event attendance, damages arising from reliance on event information provided on the Site, issues arising from event cancellations, postponements, or changes, problems with third-party websites or services linked from our Site, or costs of replacement goods or services. This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Some jurisdictions do not allow limitation of liability for certain damages, so some of these limitations may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Street Beat NYC, Bevan Huang, and any affiliated parties from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses including reasonable attorneys' fees arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, your violation of any rights of another party, any content you submit to the Site, or your attendance at or participation in any event listed on the Site.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Street Beat NYC regarding your use of the Site and supersede any prior agreements.
No Waiver
Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Support and Donations
All financial support to Street Beat NYC is voluntary and represents a voluntary contribution to support platform operations, recognition of value received from the Site, and support for independent cultural curation. Donations are not payment for services or products, are not tax-deductible (Street Beat NYC is not a registered 501(c)(3) organization), are not refundable except as required by applicable payment processor policies, and are not subscriptions with guaranteed benefits or services. Donations are processed through third-party payment services such as Ko-fi. We are not responsible for payment processing errors or disputes, security of payment information which is handled by payment processors, or third-party payment processor terms and fees.
Privacy
Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Site, you consent to our Privacy Policy.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective when posted on the Site with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms. Material changes may be communicated through notice on the Site homepage, update to the "Last Updated" date, and/or email notification if you have provided an email address. You agree that unless otherwise required by applicable law, changes to these Terms may be made at any time without notice.
Geographic Scope
Street Beat NYC focuses on events in New York City and is intended for users interested in NYC cultural events. We make no representation that content is appropriate or available for use outside the United States.
Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in New York County, New York. You consent to the personal jurisdiction of these courts. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us at hello@streetbeatnyc.com to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.
